Andrea Segura, a Mexico-born artist based in London, blends vibrant Mexican influences with her deep connection to florals—creating pieces that feel like emotional sanctuaries, rooted in memory, color, and home.

Artist Note:  “For the longest time, I thought I painted flowers just because they were beautiful.
But lately… I’ve realized it’s so much deeper than that. 🌸

“I grew up surrounded by flowers—real ones, painted ones, embroidered into fabrics, blooming in my grandmother’s garden. Back then, I didn’t fully understand why they made me feel so at home. I just knew they did.

Now, living far from my family, I’ve come to see them differently. Every time I paint a flower, it’s like I’m building a little sanctuary for myself. A space that feels familiar. Safe. Grounded. As if somehow, through color and movement, I’m reaching across the miles and wrapping myself in memories that keep me whole.

After  years of painting, I finally understand the real reason behind my work:

I paint to create spaces where I feel at peace.
And I share them in hopes that they can become safe spaces for others too.

Maybe that’s what art really is—a way of finding home, wherever you are.”
